Preslee Jae Barker 7-28-2010 She has Arrived!!!

The newest addition to our family is here and she is beautiful!! She arrived on Wednesday July 28th weighing in at 7 lbs and 4 oz, 20 1/2 inches long.  She has blond hair and beautiful blue eyes and looks just like her beautiful Mom!  It is like Andrew and Meagan have cloned themselves!! If she stays blond, it will be such a beautiful contrast between she and her big brother! Dillon seemed a little nervous the first time to the hospital because Mom had an IV in her hand, but the second time he went he was kissing and hugging Preslee and seemed pretty happy to see her, pointing and saying "baby".  I can't wait to see them interact at home.  He will be a great big brother!!

Unfortunetly, Preslee is still in the hospital under the bilirubin lights.  Her numbers are steady, not to high, but they just won't come down and now they are trying going to straight formula instead of breastmilk to see if that helps.  It is hard to have her there for the kids, Meagan has been spending nights and most of the days there, and Andrew has been going back and forth between spending time with Dillon and being at the hospital.  Between us and Dick and Jill, we have been helping with Dillon, but it will be nice when the four of them can start their new life together!  We are just so thankful she is here and know everything will be fine soon and she will be home! It is amazing how much love you can feel for these two beautiful children.  Grandchildren are very special!

As you can see by the pics, Joni, Joe, and Jackson are here too.  We have been spending alot of time with them and have been having so much fun!! They are here for another 7 or 8 days, so lots more to come too! We had a great steak meal by Joe and Joni on Thursday, live band at the pit on Friday, pontooning and a great meal by Mom and Dad Saturday, and in-between all of that, back and forth to the hospital to see Preslee and taking care of Dillon.  It's great that Andrew has a flexible job (which means I do too!) so we can all spend some good time here this coming week!
