Summer is going fast!! Try not to Dwell on It!

Yes it is flying by, but lets not focus on that now ok?? The family gathered last week to give Grandma a great sendoff. It was a beautiful service and it just proves how much she was loved and by so many!! We toasted her at the farm with some Heinekin and had a great potluck meal. What a wonderful picture of all the family - Thanks Tamara! It was a Very fitting day for a wonderful Grandma.

Thursday, we took off early or Moondance Jam - and froze our asses off!! The company was great (Bil and Mark) and the music was great - but the weather sucked big time!! We all had multiple layers on - but it just didn't help - only the beer and/or vodka seemed to take the chill off. By the end of the nite I couldn't move from my chair (because of the cold and/or beer) - I just sat there with a coat over my head - and waited to go back to the casino. It was a good time anyway - and we will try again next year, but only if the forecast is a little bit like summer!!!

The weekend at the lake was fun too, but the weather just never got very nice until Sunday of course. There was the Water Carnival going on in town, so we went to the chili cookoff on Sat which was fun, and then the parade on Sunday. It was very nice.

To the farm on Monday to mow in between rain showers, and back to the lake today to babysit my favorite little man, Dillon. He wasn't feeling the best, so no giggles, but he was still smiley and we enjoyed the day together. He took a great nap, and when he woke up Marj Jones came to visit. He flirted with her like he does most women, and she was hooked. She will be a grandma in Nov for the first time too! It is the best!! It was nice to have her come for a visit.

Greg is home hauling corn and wheat - hopefully he will join me here on Thursday. Sounds like a good weekend coming up, with no major plans - maybe some pontoon time??
