Here Comes the Sun?!?!

Hi Everyone - it seems the sun just can't do it's job again this year - a few somewhat nice days and then more rain and cold! Just like last year - and everyone is so tired of it!! Come on heat - we need some nice days - and the farmers need to get their crops in!!

We had a great Memorial Day at the lake! Mom and Dad came for the day on Saturday - couldn't talk them into staying the nite - maybe next time??? Bil and Mark and the girls and Connor were there and it was GREAT to see Mallory back from Norway!! Thanks for sharing your pics Mal, they were wonderful! Lavaun came and "checked" into her rental cabin for the summer (Aunt Jo's) and stayed her first nite there - a bit chilly, but good I think. It will be wonderful to have her and Mike around this summer - I hope they love it as much as we do!

Dave and Shorty were in Bismarck with Elliott for the state track meet - Elliott had a great track season and qualified in three events and we congratulate him on his success! He is a great athlete and stays busy with sports 365 - 24/7! He will be a senior next year - can't believe it! We also attended NC graduation and our niece Gretchen was co-salutitorian. She gave a great speech and was so composed as she did it! Can't believe she is done with high school either and next year she will attend the best school in the state - NDSU of course! She is a great artist and photographer!

We put the pontoon in and had help getting the canopy on (thanks guys!) and then had the first ride of the summer - again - chilly but nice!! Dad had his little boy pants on so he needed the quilt! Hopefully soon we can all wear shorts and not freeze! Jenn and Mike came over to visit too - they are renting on Maud this year - Mike sold his cabin on Turtle late last fall - so they will be frequent visitors hopefully!! On Sunday after graduation we picked up Dillon and he got to spend the nite with us - he wasn't feeling that great, a flu bug I think, but we had fun anyway! I love having him anytime I can sneak him away! Monday it rained off and on all day so Greg and I were really lazy all day! Perfect way to spend a rainy day!

Here's hoping the weather straightens out and we can spend every waking minute outdoors! Summer is way to short - and we need to take advantage of every minute!! See you all soon!
